Complete beginners are our most common students — children aged 6+, teenagers and adults all welcome. Grade preparation is available, plus regular student showcases. Established in Glasgow for over a decade, with a free introductory lesson to start.

Beat It Drum School is based at 567 Shettleston Road, Glasgow G31 5JT, in the heart of Glasgow's East End — close to the Forge Retail Park and Parkhead, with free off-road parking right outside. Every lesson is one-to-one, taught by working drummers in our fully equipped teaching studios.

We teach children aged 6 and up, teenagers and adults, and complete beginners are always welcome. There's no need to own a kit — professional acoustic drum kits and drumsticks are provided in every session, and your first lesson is free, so you can come in, meet your tutor and try a lesson before deciding. What age can children start drum lessons?

We welcome children from age 6 and up. Lessons are paced around each child's attention span and coordination, keeping things fun from the very first beat.

Do I need a drum kit before starting?
