You don't need any experience to start
Most people who walk through our doors have never held a pair of drumsticks. That's not a problem — it's exactly who beginner drum lessons are for. We start with the very first beat and build from there, at a pace that makes sense for you.
Every lesson is one-to-one, so your tutor can focus entirely on you — whether you're a parent booking for a six-year-old, a teenager picking up sticks for the first time, or an adult who always meant to learn. Children, teenagers and adults all learn here — and most start from scratch.
Children from age 6
Most of our youngest students have never played before. Lessons are one-to-one, paced around each child, and built to keep things fun from the very first beat.
Teenage beginners
Teenagers starting from scratch learn on a real kit, working on the music they actually listen to — with optional grade exams if they want structure.
Adult beginners
Plenty of adults start here having never held a pair of sticks. It's never too late, and lessons move at your pace, with daytime and evening slots available.

No drum kit needed to start
You don't need to own a drum kit, drumsticks or anything else before starting. Every lesson takes place in our Glasgow drum studio on a professional acoustic kit, with drumsticks provided — so you can begin straight away with nothing to buy. Your tutor will happily advise on what to practise on at home when the time is right.
One-to-one tuition, your choice of length
Private lessons built around you — and the music you enjoy.
All lessons are private and one-to-one, so every session is shaped around your goals, ability and taste in music. You'll work on the songs and styles you actually want to play, rather than a one-size-fits-all syllabus.
Lessons are typically 30 or 60 minutes. A 30-minute lesson is a great focused start for younger children and new beginners; a full hour suits older students and anyone who wants more time. Your tutor will recommend the best length for you.
Drum grades are available if you'd like structure and a recognised qualification — but they're entirely optional. Many beginners simply learn for fun, and that's just as welcome.
